Updated Communications app

The Communications app has been updated to take advantage of Kahua’s modern HUB architecture.  This makes the app more usable, with higher stability and performance, and also provides greater flexibility in adapting the Communications app to your specific organization’s needs.  The Communications app also now supports Lists.

All Communication items can be viewed in a single consolidated log, or may be viewed by Communications type, such as Letter, Memo, Transmittal, etc.  

A new Configuration option enables you to control what type of Communication Types can be created for your organization.  This option will be even more useful as additional Communication Types (e.g. Conversations, etc.) are added.

Media Manager Application

The Media Manager app serves as a central repository for all photos taken on project that are uploaded to the media component within applications that use it. Users can also upload photos directly into Media Manager as part of the project record.

Users can view File Manager in thumbnail mode by selecting the thumbnail toggle

Drag and Drop Files

Users can drag and drop files from their computer to the following locations (folders not supported at this time):

• File Manager (except Drawings folders)
• Media Manager
• The Media Component if available in an application

New Add Kahua Doc User Interface

The Add Kahua Doc modal has been updated to mirror updates in the Windows host. Changes include a method for selecting Kahua documents that is like selecting records in the application. Users can also preview records to select.

Updates to Saving Forms

The Save option has been updated to not automatically close the form. After Save, the user must tap Close to return to the list. If the form has been edited and not saved, on Close the user will be prompted that changes will be lost if they continue.

Previous and Next Record Navigation

Users can view the previous/next record in the list sequence by tapping the Up Arrow or Down Arrow at the top right.
