Purchase Orders - Expanded shipping address options
Applicable Packages This article applies to the Kahua for K-12 Education, Kahua for Owners, Kahua for General Contractors, and Kahua for Subcontractors packages. If you are not sure if this is relevant to you, please contact your domain administrator.
Purchase Orders can be configured to support expanded shipping address options. Previously, the shipping address on a Purchase Order used one of the offices of the Ship To Company. With this feature, the Purchase Order shipping address can be populated from multiple sources.
Key elements to know about this feature include the following:
-
The Purchase Order shipping address can continue to use the Ship To Company office address, which is the default behavior.
-
The Purchase Order shipping address can use the Project Address from the project document.
-
The Purchase Order shipping address can use a Shipping Address entered on the project document.
-
The Purchase Order shipping address can be manually entered directly on the Purchase Order.
-
The Purchase Order Shipping Address is populated regardless of the selected shipping address source. This supports both the previous company-address behavior and the expanded shipping address options.
Important To use the expanded shipping address functionality on non-standard portable views or reports, those portable views and reports must be updated to use the Purchase Order Shipping Address attributes.

Your domain administrator or another user with the appropriate permissions can configure the related apps in the Configuration application.
Important When working in the Configuration app, it is important to review the header and ensure that you are working at the correct level in the hierarchy, either the root domain or at a partition or project level.
Settings that you establish at the root domain or lower levels will inherit down the hierarchy until they are overridden. For more information on the hierarchical structure of Kahua, refer to Understanding the hierarchical structure of Kahua.
The Configuration app can be accessed directly through the apps list (Apps > Administration > Configuration), or, in some applications, by right-clicking on an application in the launch bar and selecting Configure. When you select Configure for an app from the launch bar, the detail view of the configuration page for that application opens automatically.
For general information about the Configuration app, including how to configure application fields, refer to Application configuration.
