Setting up users
When you are setting users in your domain, you should consider what level of interaction the user will have with Kahua.
Is this someone who is an employee of your company who will be your Kahua Domain administrator? They will need to be a licensed user and set up with full administrative rights in your domain. If you are transferring this function from one user to another, refer to Transfer administrative rights to another user. If you are adding this responsibility to another user, simply add them to the Domain Administrator group.
Is this someone who is an employee of your company who will be using apps in your domain? They should be set up as a user and assigned a license.
Is this someone who will be receiving messages and tasks and required to act on tasks? They will need to be added to the Users app. If they are not assigned a license, they are limited to using the Tasks and Messages apps.
Is this a person you want to add to a distribution list for communications, or someone you want to invite to bid on a project? You should set them up as a person in the Contacts app.
Is this person someone who occasionally receives messages? That can potentially be accomplished by entering their email address directly in the To/CC/BCC field of a message, but you can also set them up as a contact so their name is available for selection.
The table below outlines what access a person will have to your domain, depending on how they are set up in Kahua.
